Hair to save a country
I have observed that when a hairdresser puts gel or wax in my hair, it buckets down rain immediately thereafter.
When I first realised this, I thought I was cursed. Now, though, I can see what a gift this is -- I can make it rain!

Yes, I'm still about. I haven't updated in a long while, though. I guess I haven't really had anything worth posting.

A moment
While I was on my way to the gym at obscene o'clock this morning, I passed Broadmeadow Racecourse and saw a horse and rider training.
It rained overnight, so the ground was relatively soft, and there was only the one horse (and it was ridiculously early in morning and no-one else around) so I could actually hear the horse breathing. It was kinda ( Read more... ) -

I can't wait until I have DSL at my place... and a new computer to run it on. -
One More Sleep
Well, I got a couple of money orders made out today, and I've got an appointment with the agent at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon to hand the bond in and pick up the keys.
I probably won't have and furniture and maybe not even services like gas and electricity straight away, but I'm still really keen to get into this new place.

A Month in Newcastle
As of Easter Sunday, I'll have been living in Newcastle for one month.
That's not entirely true. I'll have been living in Fishing Point, which is ¾hr drive away from town, and on the shores of Lake Macquarie. It's a very beautiful place, but there's not much there, and it's also three hours walk away from the nearest public transport. It is, ( Read more... ) -

Forgive me, LiveJournal, for I have sinned. It has been 5 weeks since my last journal entry. Five weeks!
I suppose being busy is a good excuse. I just made a huge move - about 1,000km to give you an idea of how far.
