Leaf Chameleons....or miniature Houdinis??

Okay, so, my leaf chameleon tank that Jen and I built ages ago was starting to look kind of crummy. Like, half the plants were dead because somehow I can keep animals alive just fine but plants are beyond me, and all in all it just looked kind of...bad. And empty of plants. Another problem with the plants might be that it's not the right kind of light.
Is it a daylight flouresent bulb?
A daylight bulb at all?

The bulb is a Repti-sun 5.0 fluorescent, which is what the *chameleons* need (they are more important than the plants, after all). But it should also be fine for growing plants.

Underwatering, most likely. Sure, I spray twice a day, but almost none of that water actually goes in the dirt. It's enough for chameleons who drink off the walls/leaves, not for plants who suck moisture out of dirt. Thus, the planting of tough plants. And I will *try* to remember to water more. :P
