If you have a good strong spray nozzle on your garden hose, give the aphids a good bath. Many of them will fall to the ground. They are too stupid to crawl back up the plant.

Don't forget to fertilize your lemon tree regularly. A healthy plant will be better able to deal with pests.

Having grown up in a non citrus growing zone, I am a bit clueless
on citrus care. What kind of fertilizer should I use for a meyer lemon?

There is a specific fertilizer for citrus plants. It should be in stock most anywhere that sells plant supplies.
