Set your email app to leave a copy of messages on server, so they'll be downloaded onto both machines. The only difference between the two machines is that the messages you send will only be kept on one machine unless you CC yourself.
The easiest way to do it is to set email apps on both machines to leave messages on server. A tidier alternative is to set one machine to leave a copy of the messages on the server, and the other machine to delete messages from the server after a certain number of days, so you'll have a chance to download messages onto both machines. Lemme know if you want more specifics.
This is how I have it set up now. I leave mail on the server until it's been downloaded on the MacBook *and* I've dealt with it. I was hoping for some way to keep track of whether I've responded to an email while on the EEE... using CC:me while I'm on the EEE could do the trick! That never occurred to me! Thank you!
