Um. Good question. Actually ... if I was to play Serenity as a LRP game I'd want a character more like the doctor than not.

No. My enthusiasm was there but muted by distances involved, and by the time someome up here started organizing a group the game filled up to oquickly. So the Serenity LRP game will be spared my particular brand of temple prostitue/psychiatrist.
