When I have time at work, I cruise through YouTube looking for some songs/videos to listen to. I drag names of songs out of my head or just have something random come up.

Today it was "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"

Dude, very cool mix of songs but what a great 'pull' with 'One Tin Soldier'.

One of my earliest movie memories upon my second arrival in California was my mother and I going to see a preview screening of BILLY JACK here on the Fox lot, and it was an experience that has been remembered fondly every time I have heard that song over the years.

And 'Paradise' is one of my 'go to' CDs that is ALWAYS in my car at the ready.

Interesting, there's not a song you've chosen here that I dislike in any way. You and your brother have good taste! ;)

Thanks, my man.

I still wonder about the fact that he liked ABBA AND KISS!
John actually went and saw ABBA on their ONLY US tour.
If memory serves me, the tour shirt was canary yellow.

"One Tin Soldier" also holds a place for me because of Billy Jack; it was one of three films that we equally loved. That, THEM! and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang... yeah, I know. Don't even ask!

And though we only saw it together once, I think I can add a fourth movie to the list: Tombstone.
At it's heart, it's a story about brothers.

Then you'll just have to wonder about me too, as I also like both ABBA and KISS. Consider the possibility that, as with me, he was garnering interest in music during a time that was a very divergent time in music.

Seriously, go look at the Billboard lists for 1973 through 1975 and you'll be surprised at how many varied styles were hits within those years. To this day my favorite songs are a wildly eclectic mix with a heavy concentration from this era.

Were you expecting me to mock CCBB?? NEVER!!

Oh, and I do agree with you on Tombstone...
