God, I think about that all the time. Here at home, ours must weigh 150 pounds! Of course, it would just demolish my flowerbed, but CHRIST if that hit somebody it would be all over.
i used to live in a building that had really old, wooden, casement windows. i mean, the panes were probably held together by dirt. during one of the hurricanes or tropical storms (louie? floyd? something like that in the past 8 years), the wind was so fierce i was utterly panicked. especially since my window faced the new school's courtyard, where tons of students hung out, rain or shine. eventually they replaced thw window, but my paranoia remained.
my fear goes both ways, though. i fear being crushed as much as i fear being the crushie. i get very nerous passing ac's that are propped up with anything other than a stack of 2x4s or some such proper equipment. a ceramic bowl?! eaaaaggghhh!
