I was worried that the part where I say that black people have had absolutely no positive role-models until today and that they all look up to gangsta rappers as a positive influence on their lives sounded a little racist, no?
Lois Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Bill Cosby, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Micheal Jacks...er.. never mind, Stevie Wonder, Martin Luther King, Johnny Cochrane, Lois Prima, Samuel L. Jackson, Nelson Mandela?
amazing. and i think its amazingly not racist to at least attempt to look at what you think it might be like, even if it isn't really like that. i don't think it makes me racist to try and imagine what it would be like to be black, any more than it's sexist to try and imagine what it feels like to be a woman.
