Hi there!
I'm watching Heroes now, I just saw the latest episode of Joss Whedon's Dollhouse.
When I'd heard that Joss was doing a new series, I thought: "WooHoo! BuffAngeFly II!!". I was sincerely hoping for another great series with amazing plot twists and turns and awesome characterization. Well, at least until the inevitable

Hmm. That actual makes the series sound interesting.
There's an undercurrent of ... what's that called again? Oh yes, HALFWAY DECENT WRITING.
OK. We need to find you some new television.

I'll assume you've seen Deadwood.

The last episode really did it for me. The way that the fight in the alleyway ended, and the answering machine message thing really had me gobsmacked.
(being deliberately vague to avoid spoilers for anyone else reading this. Which is a lot more than I'll do for Heroes anymore)
I have a theory about the way that Season 2 or 3 are going to go, but I don't want to spoil anything BEFORE it's actually a spoiler. I know, it technically wouldn't be a spoiler at all, because I could be wrong, but I'm keeping it to myself for now, unless you ask nicely. :)

The Russian thing? Um ... I remember the thing with the Russian mob guy who set up FBI dude, but nothing else with an answering machine before now. Have I been totally asleep??
But yeah, it's been a really great series so far. :)

Dollhouse has taken some predictable turns but overall, I'm digging it. I don't have a problem watching a show with a premise about human sex trafficking. I think there's a lot of shows out there that have questionable premises, but with good writing it fades away into the scenery. Doesn't mean we condone the premise. Some examples I can think of are Sopranos, Big Love, Weeds.

Oh no, we certainly don't condone group marriage or selling marijuana in the suburbs ... nopenopenopenope. ;)
(and yes, I don't condone the latter-day saints' version of group marriage, but that's different)
I really should watch Big Love and Weeds. I saw the first season of BL, but when we moved, we stopped getting HBO. :(

The fact that I know that disturbs me.
I dunno. I'm still enjoying the heck out of Heroes for some reason (but I totally agree with you on Hiro's power) and I never got past the pilot of Dollhouse.
