Canon: Detective Conan

EDOGAWA CONAN

Sephiroth hardly knowsn Conan, but from what he's seen of the little detective, he's smart, has vast deductive reasoning, and is not someone to be taken lightly, even if he could fit the little guy in his pocket. He's always interested in knowing Conan's take on things, and will listen to many conversations the detective has with others in order to gain a better understanding of a situation.

Conan actually reminds Sephiroth of himself at that page in a lot of ways, his intelligence chiefly among them, and he doesn't mind talking with the boy.

AERITH GAINSBOROUGH

Of those he's met that know him as enemy, Aerith has been the most open and civil, if not friendly of them all, and this intrigues Sephiroth more than anything. He's seen she has a sunny, optimistic disposition, and this outlook on life so greatly contradicts his views of reality that he's often confused as to how to speak with her. while it is obvious she is bitter her blood is on his hands, she isn't outwardly malicious, and this confuses him and makes him more than a little suspicious. What could she want from a man she cannot disassociate as her murderer.

He doesn't blame her for being stand-offish with him, as the fact he murdered her in the most cowardly way he could imagine has come to light.

Another thing that he finds interesting beyond the confusion of human emotion is the fact she claims to be a member of a face long thought dead, the Cetra. He doesn't know what this might mean. The legends tell of the Cetra, that they were capable of communing with the Planet, of casting magic without the use of Materia, and capable of urging growth from even the most barren of soil. He assumes there must be something to the last bit at least, as she has a garden in the Underworld, where no sun shines to offer the plants life.

CLOUD STRIFE

He knows far more of Cloud than he actually knows the boy. He knows that tragedy strikes in Nibelheim, Cloud's hometown, and Cloud watches in horror as he, the monster he would become, destroys everything Cloud loves. Sephiroth has never had a hometown, parents, childhood friends, places where secret adolescent meetings were held, or favorite places to stop for ice cream. He has no way of understanding what the monster has taken from this trooper, nor can he, even in his wildest imagination, conceive of what Hojo must have done to him and Zack.

He wonders what connection Cloud has to Zack, because every once in a while, he can see a bit of Fair in the blond, and it's both disturbing and intriguing. He doesn't hold Cloud's animosity for him against the boy, knowing that it must be traumatic, having to speak to someone who wears the face of a creature who stole everything from you. Now, knowing he also murdered Aerith in cold blood, and that Aerith is very important to Cloud, he is even more understanding.

Because of all this, he doesn't trust Cloud, but doesn't harbor any ill will for the trooper himself. He just wouldn't trust the blond at his back.
