The Holiday Ball
Who: Everyone!
When: Christmas Eve
Where: Great Hall
Warnings: TBA
Decorations glimmered, sparkled, and shone throughout the whole great hall. There were streamers, balloons, glitter, everything! Magical snow fell from the ceiling and vanished right before it hit an object or the floor. The giant tables had vanished from the room, and in place was a large ballroom floor. There were a few smaller tables set aside, along with a concession area decorated with fancy tablecloth, but the great hall was open to all dancers.
A mini stage was set up, and sitting on top of it was the Hogwarts orchestra. Drums boomed, violins soared, and french horns carried the melody. Students had just begun piling into the room, crowding it, and the once silent room was becoming loud and filled with incoherent chatter. Teachers spread around the room, both supervising the students and treating the ball as a night off. After all, it was Christmas Eve.
The dance would last all night...
