Closing Night

As I write this it is about 2:40PM on Sunday, January 22, 2012. In less than a half hour the curtain will rise on one of my very favorite musicals, Follies, at the Marquis Theater in NYC. I had given some serious thought about being there, but decided that the cost was too prohibitive to make the jaunt up to the Big Apple to see the show again

Thanks for this wonderful summary! I've been a big fan of the "Follies" score for decades, but have never seen the show onstage. Sounds like you should plan a vacation to Los Angeles and see the production there. It will be the same cast except for Bernadette. She is being replaced by Victoria Clark, an extraordinary talent.
