One of my favorite films just came out in an extended edition. Fried Green Tomatoes is a wonderful love story dealing with an elderly woman and a chubby, unhappily married woman who learn a lot about life from each other and two women who live in the 30's and have a wonderful, long term relationship that could be interpreted by many as a love ( Read more... )

Well, the Da Vinci Code is out and is apparently a big hit. It had $29 million dollars in box office in it's first day of release. I went this past Saturday afternoon and, while I generally enjoyed the movie, I thought there was something lacking in the film. Well, if this hasn't been just the most interesting two days! I got a letter from my doctor about a week or two ago advising me that they'd scheduled me for a colonoscopy. I've been catching up on some video rentals the past couple of days and have seen some winners and losers. Watched Christmas with the Kranks with very little expectations and was surprised that I actually enjoyed it. Well, it's started again. I'm getting depressed. I ended up with a broken tooth that started the process on Sunday night. A small piece broke off on Sunday night and Monday morning a good sized chunk broke off when I was brushing my teeth. I just finished watching the DVD of this excellent show's first season and I'm more in awe of it than ever. Foe some reason I did not start watching this show until the second season started.
