I think you just haven't met the right person yet. You spend much of your relationships banging you head against a wall trying to get the boy to "shape up" or "pay attention to you". If you were involved with the right person, you wouldn't feel that way.

As for Stephen, I just see that entire situation turning into the same thing you've always had. You chasing him and him not being available enough for you. He sort of proved that with the whole "should we or shouldn't we?" thing.
