Let's see.
I like Toby/Sam, Toby/Sam/Josh, Toby/Ellie, Andy/Toby, Toby/CJ, CJ/Danny, Josh/Amy, Toby/CJ, some sort of CJ/Greg Brock/Toby triangle, mentions of David and Joanie, I think Joe Quincy is awesome, and Ainsley too.
Writing sex is okay, but I more prefer how their relationships with each other work. I like scenes in the WW as much as anyone else. I also like post-WW fic. I like darker themes- sorrow, loss, money problems, etc. You know, things real world people face. Break-ups, fights, psychological issues ... etc. You get the picture.
I also tend to discount most of seasons 5-7. Blech. Never happened. Of course the huge Toby thing had to happen, but ...
My personal canon is that Toby was covering for CJ over the space shuttle thing; that Toby loves many many people at once, in his own way- not as in a threesome, or him dating more than one person at once, but the interesting way in which he has relationships with so many people and they continue to be a part of his life after the sex has stopped; Toby dies when his children are 14 after a month-long coma; Sam is outed as Toby's lover and never runs for President- or politics ever again; Josh never winds up with Donna- they try it, but after the white house he gets together with Amy, they have a child, and she leaves him; Ellie loses fruit fly boy's baby and leaves him; CJ and Danny go to Africa; Toby writes his book, but never outs CJ ever; and no-one ever pardons Greg. [Okay, I have mentioned yet that I like darker fics? Yes? Okay].
So anything involving any of that is fantastic. :D Anything not involving that, totally okay too. That's just my personal canon. I'm used to people not following it.
On happierish notes ...
I like stories where Toby does nothing but asks Andy to marry him. Oh, and the children! I love Huck and Molly. Father-daughter relationships fill me with glee. So do fics that focus on Huck and Molly. Wee!Toby or Wee!Josh fics are always happy too- I like seeing them younger with their siblings/parents- especially Toby and his felon of a father. And Josh and his sister. I like the Ainsley-Sam dynamic, just not in a shippy way. More like an older brother/younger sister sort of way. Joe Quincy doing about anything rocks my socks off.
I'm ridiculously easy to please, no worries. :D I mean, look at all those pairings! Go hog wild! A fic where CJ and Danny do nothing but argue over what to name their daughter? Perfect! A fic where Toby and Sam break up for the ninth time through Molly's POV? Perfect! Like I said, I'm fairly easy to please.
