I must be dreaming. This has to be a dream. The best dream EVER. But still totally a dream. There is no way this is real, Callum was thinking to himself. He even pinched himself a few times, but he still couldn't believe it. Saffron was actually sitting here. With him. Even more unbelievably, it had been entirely her idea. He was certain that her running into him had been entirely a mistake and that she had better things to do, but when she'd asked him to go with her, he'd not argued at all and assured her that he was entirely not busy.

If it had not been for Emmy's warning, he might not have been able to function in the situation, but she had done much to prepare him for this, even if he still couldn't believe it was really happening. Emmy hadn't led him to believe such an unimaginable thing would happen, but she had paved the way for his mind to accept it as a possibility where before he never would have been able to ( ... )
