Week Name: A Quiet Lull
Date/Time: Tuesday, 31 October 2006 / 6:49 AM
Location: Hogwarts - Slytherin Commons to Dungeon Corridor
Characters: Daphne and OPEN to other Snakes or witnesses
Status: Public
Summary: The Halloween pranks have begun, and with an early start. Daphne is less than thrilled.
Completion: Incomplete

Daphne was adhering to her usual strict routine. She had just finished her early morning swordsmanship practice and then gotten dressed for the day and was now making her way through the dungeons, intending to see what mediocre fare the house elves had prepared for breakfast this time. Her robes were spotless, as usual, and even more to the point, she was having a particularly good hair day. Her mood was somewhat pleasant and she had perhaps forgotten that today was Halloween.

This was, perhaps, an explanation for why her guard was not up and she was not prepared for what befell her as she exited the Slytherin Common Room and made her way into the corridor... and right into what was quite obviously a trap.

As she took a few steps down the hall, something fell with a sickening smack onto the top of her head and she felt something sliding through her hair and down her back.

The scream that escaped her lips was one full of rage and disgust. Her fury had been ignited and she scowled at the empty air, looking up to see hundreds of hanging... pouch-like objects overhead, clearly full of more of this... filthy potion.

"Bloody Gryffindors," she gritted her teeth and turned back toward the entrance to the common room, trying in vain to avoid it as another fell on her shoulder and then another landed just in front of her feet.
