American Idol last night was considerably better than last week.
Nadia - Okay, I know that everyone hated her performance this week, but I kind of loved it. I understand what people are saying about her choosing such an odd song, but that is kind of one of the things I love about her. She picks these unusual songs that I've never heard and makes me want to go and hear the original. Plus, I thought she sounded fantastic and she looked great too. I don't know, I must have really missed something because I really loved her last night. I voted for like an hour and a half straight and got through every time. Makes me nervous! And I've never voted like that for anyone ever.
Bo - Perfect song choice. He did it alright, but he didn't do anything interesting with it. It was good for him. Although I sort of agree with Simon that "Free Bird" is one of those songs that you just don't redo. But it worked for him.
Anwar - Best week in a while. Not the greatest though. He was back in his girls' clothes again this week. Hot!
Anthony - Arg. Better than last week I guess, but I hate that song and I'm not his biggest fan so I kind of hated it all together. But there is still one person I'd rather see gVo first.
Vonzell - Hell yes! That was hot. First of all, love that song...and well, Vonzell is great! Everything about it last night just a great time. I'm excited for her.
Scott - I almost puked at the beginning of the song, he sounded so terrible. He got into it better towards the middle and end, but I still don't like him. And Hall & Oates cracked me up! They always crack me up. It's weird to me that people who you wouldn't even think it are like their biggest fans ever. And not even jokingly, like the strangest people are freakishly obsessed with Hall & Oates. Hehe.
Carrie - This would have been absolutely amazing if this girl had any idea how to work a stage. She sounded and looked so fucking hot with that Pat Benetar song!! But, once again the no personality thing kind of made it fall short. Then again, she did call herself on the lack of personality thing, so she's trying to work on it at least. Anywho, this was my favorite performance of her's.
Constantine - Uuh?! No. NO no no no no no. I think that "Bohemian Rhapsody" also falls under that category of songs you should NEVER try to redo. God no. I just fucking hate Constantine. I mean, okay...he probably did well with the faster parts of the songs and he puts on a show, but ugh ugh ugh...where does he get off doing that song?! And put that fucking tongue of yours back in your goddamn mouth, douchebag!
My bottom three: Scott, Anthony, Anwar
Who will probably be in the bottom three: Scott, Nadia, Anwar
Who I want gone: Scott
That said, I'll cry if Nadia goes home this week. She makes the show worth watching for me, I don't know what I'll do without her.
