I saw about two-thirds of the episodes during the course of the season, then caught up with the ones I'd missed by watching the marathon on Sci-Fi this past Saturday. Much like many sticking points throughout the season, however, that explanation requires a lot of contrivance and handwaving (Mohinder's magic blood, anyone?). I think the show was ill-served by having to fill 22 episodes (what show isn't?), and there would have been far fewer pacing issues if they'd stuck to the throughline (which I agree, was decidedly there, even if I didn't always like how they travelled to it).
I'll probably keep watching for the Bennets, as I agree they are the best part of the show, but I don't think this will get a place on my shelf.

During all that time when Peter was lying face-down in the middle of the street, I was thinking, "Gee, it's a good thing everyone in New York decided to take the night off from driving."
And while I'm certain there are a great many Hiro/Ando shippers out there, I'm also fairly certain that any justification for their shipping exists in their own minds and not on the screen. But that's just me.

I see Hiro and Ando as the best of friends, and want to squish them together forever.
Peter and Claire shouldn't have been related. Because any scene where they were in frame, they looked like love vibes were drawing them together, and I was 'shipping them something fierce. Oh fandom, what you've done to me.
