I finally got around to doing something I'd been threatening to do for a long time - I had the walls re-painted in my apartment's living room and kitchen. Wow. I mean, wow. That is one of the coolest architectural features I've ever heard of. I kind of imagine you coming to work, taking the elevator to your office, and transforming into your steampunk persona, goggles and all.
And we actually saw a blimp last night, heading for the city to cover tonight's game. It was just at twilight, so we could only see the silhouette as it passed. Awesome.

In fact, I open my Venetian blinds and watch the sun come up over the city. I get to see three great buildings: Frank Gehry's Disney Concert Hall, the Water and Power Building (one of the very few International Style buildings I like), and the Griffith Observatory. I always find myself thinking how different this is from little old Medina, Ohio.
