“What are you doing here?” He sees the sleek, black car parked in the driveway, so not Bella at all, and aches.
“I need you to fix my truck. It died.”
He turns away. “Some things can’t be fixed.”
“What if I need it? What if it’s a part of me that I can’t live without? I’m not me without it.”
She’s almost crying.
“What are we really talking about?”
It’s unexpected. She kisses him.
