I'm sure this kind of stuff balances out. I can think of at least three different times when shopping at Target that something was scanned more than once or we were overcharged, and I know we didn't always go back to get it fixed (too lazy, forgot about it after awhile). Who knows how often this happens without us knowing about it (I rarely look at a receipt after I walk out the door). You held up your end of the bargain, the cashier put everything in those great plastic bags and gave you a total, which you paid in full. I promise to go shopping a Target this week in an effort to add some positive balance to the Target karma universe. (our Super Target is the best place in town, thanks to them I eat breakfast/lunch/dinner and drink relatively cheap Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada and Penfolds wine plus have nice patio furniture, etc.) I do have to admit that I sometimes shop at Walmart on my way in to work, sometimes I go in when I'm homesick for Oklahoma, which is admittedly pathetic. if they could actually sell "real beer" at super target in oklahoma, i don't think i'd ever need another store ever again. in fact, i might just move in. Cute furniture, cute clothes, decent choice of electronics... and einstein bagels, starbucks, cold stone creamery... hmmm.. maybe i will move in...

Score! And I heart Target a little too much too. Ours has a Starbucks and when I was a stay-at-home mom for six weeks I used to go and get a beverage and wander around the store while Charlie slept in the stroller. Usually when they tell me the total I frantically search for cash to offset the portion paid by credit card so Ryan doesn't know how much I really spend there (yes I have a problem).
