Nicotine!!!!!

I quit smoking 20 years ago. It comes as no giant surprise that very addictive nicotine might be made into drugs. Lots of times what is bad for you in large doses can be medicine in small. I wish these researchers well. Look at this site to get an idea of what I speak.

That's a very interesting article. Question is can the levels be controlled so as not to turn someone into an addict.

Did you catch the part where they genetically removed the 'addictive' qualities? If that is correct then addictions won't be a problem. I know a woman with colitis and smoking did help her. Now with this research maybe a patch or pill can do so with out all the trash cigarettes bring to the equation.

Oh I missed that somehow.

A small dose that goes to directly to the blood stream...

Congratulations to you as well! How did you quit? I went 'cold turkey'. I had tried all the 'aids' to quitting but none worked.
I wish the researchers well. Something as potent as nicotine is bound to have some medicinal properties....if they can tame the damn stuff!

I had to use patches for over 3 months
before I kicked the habbit. So glad I
did. Well done for having the willpower
to go cold turkey! The only thing I went
cold turkey over was me quitting my chocolate
addiction...it was tough I can tell you! lol! :P
