I am donating a bucketfull. They may need to be rewicked or "cooked" in a crockpot of water, as I don't believe they have wicks anymore (melting and cooling many times) I also have a paraffin bath I am willing to loan out.
Would it be too tacky to come over during the exploratorium to try it out??
If you (or I) have a slow period during the exploratorium, would you be willing to stick some needles in me :)
Ah, this does sound really tacky since I'm not a newbie to play or needles. I was trying to flirtatiously ask for a little mini scene/a few needles, but I don't like the way it sounds now :(
Nonetheless I will see you there and hope for *hugs*
I'm not going, but as a Top who sometimes gets put into the position of 'fairground ride operator,' I love to see a good clear example of boundary-setting! :)
topic shift: How long are you around in DC this weekend? Popping in and out for the Summit sessions, or lingering a bit?
Well, I live less than a hour outside DC, so the question is sort of strange. I'll be there Saturday night for a play party, and then Sunday for the Summit, and maybe Monday - but I'm not going to participate in the lobby activities, so I'm not sure how that will work out.
If you'll be around, I'm sure we can find a way to have a meal or somesuch.
Hey honey, I just wanted to let you know that while I am not a DM this year, I did get BR certified last year and want to sit in on the bloodplay DM class. I AM on the safety team this year and there will be a full trauma bag in the dungeon during open hours (unless I get called to a medical call and have to take it with me)
We have told the dungeon staff that we are providing *nothing*. Whether you know someone who might have said materials, such as matacide, and can ask politely to borrow it, is your own situation.
Basically, we're leveling the playing field with every other dungeon we've been in. Usually, dungeons that allow bloodplay stock cavicide or matacide as due course. I recommend most piercing tops carry a small bottle with them - I do - or at least some Sani-cide wipes.
An example of predicament piercing would be a piercing on your shoulder connected by string to your ankle, that is only slack if your leg is bent at the knee. You're bound to a particular position, based on how much tension the piercing can take (both structurally, and within your own pain tolerance).

If you let me know what color you're wearing, that would be useful.

Either way, it will be good to see you. I haven't seen much programming, so hopefully the summit will be worth it.

The class is open to anyone with DM training, not just Beltane DMs. It's happening on Thursday. If you're there, you're welcome.

Re: gear, how about emergency cleanup stuff, i.e. medicide or the like?
Finally ... what would you consider a "predicament piercing"?
