I have never been a social butterfly (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, sorry, gross understatements tickle me). I have my husband, my kids, and two really good friends (whom I rarely see in person, but I know they're there, and vice verse).

Any other friendships/camaraderie/networking needs I have are met online. I don't have a girls' night out, I don't have friends over for drinks, and I don't want to. I don't WANT casual acquaintances, even though nobody seems to understand that. It's not a sign of depression, I just have better things to do than make idle chit-chat with people that I barely know. So yeah, I know what you mean.

But! I never went to prom or high school football games either - I was always like this - so I may just not be properly socialized. But, I'm okay with that, and so are the people I really care about, and that's all that really matters. ;)

Yep! I think more people feel this way than are willing to admit it. Maybe because they get tired of people thinking they are lonely or depressed.
