junakabisque. I tried to write this as I listen to Gloria by Kalafina. Hope you’ll like this.
It was a cloudy day. Gray-colored clouds obscuring the light rays of the sun. The air is quite cold as it gently caresses his cheeks. Somehow, Tora feels that Mother Nature is with him. Embracing him to lessen his pain.
He took a deep breath as he looks at the wide, calm sea. It reflects the sorrowful color of the sky, its small waves slightly moves the small boat where he and his friends are. Despite of the woeful scenery, Tora knows of a certain person that would still love to see this. That person would still sit on one of the big rocks on the shore and happily admire the beauty behind the sadness this panorama shows. If only he was still here…
Saga…
Tora glances at the urn sitting beside a bouquet of white Star Gazers. The beautiful ornamental vase now contains the ashes of his lover. A vessel which rightfully holds the remains of the most beautiful person he’d met, inside and out.
It is time…
Tora closes his eyes and took another deep breath before picking up the vase. He held the white Grecian urn with trembling hands, tracing the patterns with his thumb. The ceramic feels cold against his skin.
Memories of him together with his lover flashes inside his head, most were their happy moments together. His pout, his smile, his laughter. All of his lover’s memory that brings joy to him before was now like daggers piercing his heart, making him aware of the pain he had inside him. The unbearable pain he was feeling since the day that he lost him.
Tora can feel his eyes burning as he holds back his tears. He hugs the vase tightly against his chest, the way he always hug his lover. The way Saga wanted him to do.
Time to let him go…
A sob escape from his lips as he carefully open the vase. A tear was able to escape from his eye. He hastily wipes it with one hand before tilting the vase, allowing the ashes to pour out of it. He watched in great grief as the ashes slowly sink in down into the sea, disappearing little by little from his sight.
He sets the urn back and picks up the bouquet. He lifted a hand to touch a flower, his fingers runs softly against the petal. Another tear fall out of his eyes when he remembers how his lover loves the flowers in his hand. Gently, he laid the bouquet into the waters. For a moment, he just stood there; watching as the beautiful garland floated gracefully against the waves of the sea.
Falling to his knees, Tora finally let his emotions out of him; crying his heart out loud as he held onto the railings tightly. His friends immediately come to him; Shou hugging him as he run a hand on his back as Nao and Hiroto patted him on his shoulder, showing their sympathy. He let himself break down after days of trying to be calm, trying to be strong despite of the fact that he wanted to kill himself because of his loss.
Head now resting on the crook of Shou’s neck, Tora’s eyes once again looked at the floating garland. The waves of the sea move the flowers away from them, just like how life took away his lover.
I’m not going to leave you. I’ll always be with you inside your heart. And I’ll be waiting for you until we meet again.
“We must now go back,” he heard Nao said and saw him as he headed towards the boat’s cabin. With that, Shou and Hiroto help him to get up and lead him inside.
The sound of the engine suddenly breaks into the silence and then the boat made its move. Tora once more look outside, into the sea where he could no longer see the bouquet. He sighed heavily as another set of tears fall from his eyes.
Till we meet again, Saga…
