You have good Chinese around you? Buddy and I are still trying to determine the best ordering place.

There's pretty decent Chinese food here. I'm sure it isn't THE BEST EVER but there's a drive-through place between the kids' daycare and home that's MSG-free and very yummy, and a few others that I get carry-out from sometimes that are also delish.

Makes my pathetic little raisins look even more pathetic suddenly. And my ginger ale is just insulting my beer-craving palate.

For lunch I had 1/2 a grilled vegetable & pesto panini, a cup of carrot ginger soup, and some spicy corn chips that I didn't recognize as corn chips at first and made my lips break out. Curses!

My question is: what's for dinner?! I'm making black bean soup to serve with crusty bread, cheese, and sour cream for those that can stomach it.

Heh - tonight is fast food - PARENTAL WIN!

In all fairness however, I've made an awesome quinoa Greek salad, as well as beans and rice and braised beef this week - it's a treat day!

(Have you ever made quinoa? I bet you have. It was my first time and I'm a huge fan now. I toasted the grains just before I boiled them and they were NOM)

The perfect red grapes (petite, sweet, with just the right amount of crunch to 'em), and a bottle of Summit (local brewery) Oktoberfest.
