F for fucking failed

Seriously? We lose all the wit, half the sarcasm and the best bit with the Guardian for a sodding re-cap montage?! You. Are. Shitting me.

Any film that needs to explain itself with a VO ... sorry, Voice Over ... and the worst montage in the history of Doctor Who Confidential has failed as far as I'm concerned. I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is. I don't need the entire film recapped in 5 minutes with a VO explaining what's happened, I know what's just happened cos I did just sit through the last hour and 15 minutes thank you very much. And for why? So you can treat me like an idiot child that doesn't have a clue? I figured it out from the VO-less cut with the French subtitles thanks, dickwads. It's about procreation. Like I said, taking that cliche a little too far there boys.

But that does explain why there's no mention of the female Immortals; if a female mortal is called to the Source to be the bearer of whichever pure-of-heart Immortal passes the test's child then a female Immortal could hardly be put in the picture ... at least not without raising some very interesting questions. And as it's not a calling to the Immortals, just a curiosity (at least, that's the end of the sword that I got) then I'd say it's a fairly safe bet that the females are gonna be just as curious as the males. I know I would be and Adriane agrees with me.

... That's right, you don't know Adriane. Guys, meet Adriane. Adriane, meet everyone. She's my Immortal muse that rouses her head every so often to badger me to write her life story and bitch about Methos. Barrel of fun. But I digress ....

Why, for the love of the gods, would you treat the people your straight-to-DVD film is aimed at as if they're idiots? Don't you want us to watch the next two films? Or did I just get a duff copy from Amazon and the witty, sarcasm and innuendo filled version is the one that everyone else got?

And, please, fire the people that made your behind the scenes documentary. It really did suck. Lots of picture that's cut too quickly to see, some interviews with the Director, pas de Peter and no information about making the film passed along at all. Good work, people, good work.
