Blech. Tomorrow's the big V-day. Valentine's, quite frankly, sucks. That's just my own personal experience, of course. Considering I'm a sappy romantic, I would love that day...if every time it rolled around, I wasn't alone. -_- I seem to have a nice little tradition of giving roses to someone on V-Day, even though I've been single every time ( Read more... )

Sounds like you've had an interesting week. And I know what you mean about Valentines day, it's not the greatest if your single. But it is kinda fun to think about the fact that most couples don't last very long and wonder how long the people you see will be together. I've seen people go out for a couple of weeks and then break up. I've also seen alot of couple that have been together for more than a year. Watching them seems to fill the quota on gush for the day, that and listening to the radio.

I must admit though that you are one of the only guys I've ever seen who seems to enjoy V-day shopping...oh well, may you find a good pair of ear plugs -_- and may your life be filled with cheesesticks ^_^

Merry V-Day, by the way, here in about 3 hours. ^_^;; Woot. As far as you were saying about couples...I really haven't seen that much, mainly because most of the people I'm around who date are in steady relationships. Steady doesn't always mean healthy, but I digress. Still, I'm always impressed by couples who last a while...either they are compatible, loyal, or stubborn. And I think gush is always fun to hear, but then again I'm a sap like that. ^_ ( ... )

Well, I've been seeing an overload of PDA lately. I had to work on a project with a couple in my english class, ugh... I love romance but seeing it all day was just an overdose, by the end of Thursday I felt if I saw another cuddling couple I would scream. Normally I don't mind stuff like that at all, it's really rather sweet most of the time but on Valentines Day it just gets to be a bit too much for me.
And there still aren't too many guys that I know of that want to even bother with looking for romantic gifts, Valentines day or not.

I'd just about bet I've got you beat on the PDA thing, with my roommates and all. THAT was disturbing. I mean, I don't mind people showing affection at all...but now it just pisses me off cause I don't have anyone to show affection to. ^_^;; And I know what you mean about V-Day... TRUST ME.
Point taken on the gift thing. The problem with doing that kind of shopping is that there's so much to take into mind. Its a LOT of thinking, and most people would rather take the easy way out. (Flowers...chocolates...stuffed animal...done!) I just think its kind of exciting, getting to see the look on the person's face when they get their gift, the anxiety you feel giving it to them, the feeling when you finally think you have the perfect gift...^_^;;; But that's just me.
