Well the dad's a dick. At least the mom is kinda trying. Is it weird that out of all the different ways i've seen taemin portrayed in fics, this is one of the most believable?

I've not-so-secretly been imagining Taemin as transgender for a really long time... I don't actually think that he is, but I wouldn't be surprised?

Anyway, thank you so much for reading.

I absolutely love this. All that guilt and fear and longing wrapped together. It makes Call Me Oppa even more beautiful to read, realising just how much Onew's acceptance must mean to Taemin. The cherry on top, for me, was how you consistently used feminine personal pronouns from the narrator's and Taemin's point of view, but Taemin's family kept refering to her as a boy. You really are a fantastic writer, so skilled and so gifted with words.

Ahh, thank you. This is such a relief of a comment. I was worried the pronouns would throw people off, especially if they're unfamiliar with Call Me Oppa.

Thank you so much for reading. <3

No, they're perfect, really! It shows a lot of insight and proves that Taeamin truly does identify as a girl. Personally I usually steer away from gender!fics because they tend to....I don't know, almost ridicule the subject, make it seem shallow somehow. But Call Me Oppa is such a gorgeously written story where the topic feels as heavy, conflicted, and problematic as I imagine it truly is for people born into the wrong body. Especially in a country like Korea.
