Which means that local places for wasting money on pointless crap, like Starbucks, are still thriving. I stepped into a Starbucks for the first time in my life today to do a Rice interview. My interviewer and I both arrived at the same time, about 15 minutes early, so I didn't have to sit around and feel guilty about not ordering anything. Screw

Interviewers are usually more interested in what you have to offer than how stimulating your conversation is. Although, being likable is always a good thing.
