I was planning on using the notecard as an example for my gilding classes. I intend to turn the card inside out and put a glassine insert in to keep the gilding from sticking to anything.

I've seen insert covers for some of the cards being sent out to prevent damage (the one I was sent has a plastic wrap type of cover for a space that has "snowflakes" that move. So mayb glassine attached to an index card?

The other side of the coin is that gold has copy issues because when a light shines on it areas either go almost white or are "burnished" brown.

When we discussed your entry for the contest, we decided that gold paint will copy much better than gilding.
