also works in most of M$ Office. like excel for example... when viewing 3 million cells on screen just isn't enough...heh lets make it 5 million, no? how about 8?

I hate idiots who do this! open a spreadsheet only to find that the cells are so microscopic that not even a 70" monitor would help.

I remember back at college, there was this guy that would set his linux console (command prompt window) to some obscenely high resolution. I mean, you'll typically see something like 80x25 (columns_x_rows), 80x40. Sometimes something in a range of 120-160x25-50. The characters are gettin' kinda small then. This guy had something like 1000x1000 ! (exclamation, not factorial. :-) )

To me, the characters were just these little white dots on the screen, each one only slightly bigger than a pixel. I don't know how he managed to read it, but I believe he really could. Later, I heard he wound up having to quit college. I guess the ability to read at 1000x1000 does not always translate into being an effective student. :-)
