I've been reading through some emails at www.bestbuysux.org. This may become a new hobby of mine. There's an anti-Best Buy customers section (emails by customers about bad experineces at Best Buy) and an anti-Best Buy employees section (emails by current or former employees about bad experineces they've had working for Best Buy). I remember the fond times I had while working part-time at the now non-existent Best buy (Store 36) on Noland Road / 40 Hwy. That store like anyplace else had issues. I worked in the repair center which is now “geek squad” I think, or some other lame marketing tactic… anyways we had strong customer relations. For the most part customers tried to bring in equipment that somehow ‘broke’ overnight with intentions of blaming the store for the problem. I was suckered into a couple scams because, like any other employee I was unaware of the situation. Eventually it became a noticeable habit which could be sniffed out right away. I enjoyed the ones that would throw a fit… cuss left and right, demand a manager to speak too… cry my a river and so on. The systematic routine for me would be handing the ‘non-serviceable’ item back to the customer smile and tell them to have a nice day ( ... )
