Elf Position #1: Font + Template
Description: This position can be split into two positions. It contains two tasks. It can be completed with somebody else if you like.
1) Find a font. I'm volunteering smercy (totally without her knowledge or permission), to be the go-to person if you have questions. She's a font fiend, she can give you links. But a great place to start is da-fonts.com ... and of course Google. The font is solely for the first letter of a paragraph. You know those ancient tomes where the first letter is super fancy (image), considering this year's theme, I'd like something akin to that. With like vines/ivy etc. (but not as fancy as what's in the image). Okay in a nutshell: pretty font, fancy but not super fancy (i.e. I can still read it without squinting through too much illustration).
2) Create a Word Document template. It should contain space for fic title, author ID, a few sample paragraphs to show how the fancy font (in part one above) will look, the "fin", and sample author notes WITHOUT the fancy script. If the layout looks ridiculous, we may have to stick to the layout of last year. Sorry, this may potentially be a fruitless and time-wasting task.
