A New Hampshire rep, Charles Weed, is sponsering a bill that would call for the de-criminalization (and possible legality) of....you guessed it...marijuana.

The only reason I will say is that's not weird is that I think NH republicans are more old-school and are for the de-regulation of many things the government has agencies for, i.e. tobacco and firearms and the like. I guess I really don't need to preach to the choir anymore on the subject, though.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, Cheech. Our house has 400 people in it and is the third largest legislative body in the world. Our Senate, though, is pretty fucking small. Our state motto should be: Live free or die, unless you're a stoner.

Well, I am fully aware of all of this...and basically the only interests I have in this issue are:

a) the legalization of hemp cultivation for alternative sources of fuel (it is one of the most efficient sources to synthesize alternative fuel, i.e. mad cheap) because hemp is only illegal to grow in the US due to its relation to the cannibus family...smoking hemp would give you a headache, not a high, and therefore its classification as a narcotic is just plain lazy

and

b) mainly the hilarity in the fact that CHARLES WEED is the framer of this legislation.
