I need advice.

For the past 3 days, I've been experiencing serious visual issues with what I think is my right eye. Everyone keeps telling me to go to the optometrist, but I've never really had one - so I'm asking any of the folks here in Austin if the recommend an eye doctor of any type, and if they know an average cost for a check up ( Read more... )

ok, here goes for armchair medicine...

I'd suggest getting this looked at ASAP. Don't live in Austin so unfortunately I can't give you any names or suggestions. However I do suggest when you go you mention the other issues you've been having recently. Though you attributed them to your stress they may or may not be conjoined issues. Assuming they are conjoined issues, it might be a sign of something more serious.

Anywaya, here's hoping it's only something minor *hugs*

YOu wouldn't like my answer. So get your ass to the optometrist NOW! Anyplace not in a mall is fine. Go to a real doctor of optometry in a real office - this is too serious for someone in Northcross who makes glasses to handle. I won't say what it sounds like because it could be something else. But if you don't treat it fast and it's what I think it is, you'll lose your vision in that eye.

Get moving! I don't care to who - ask the wife to find something close and take you there.

If you have health ins.
ER NOW!
Not kidding on this. Could be ocular herpes, cataract, or something very, very bad.

Go to an eye doctor. Hell, they even have 'em in Wal-Mart now.

Need to be checked out. Vision problems are too risky to let sit for very long.
