I had not heard of Pinterest until the same day I heard about their draconian terms. I therefore never set up a pin account. Really glad I didn't.

Further thoughts on EULAs marquesate March 22 2012, 13:43:07 UTC
I'm currently reading a very interesting booklet on social media and legalities and this sentence struck me as very true - and a thought that should have occurred to all of us and anyone who uses any social networking site:

"No social networking platform will be held responsible for the legal consequences of your uploading illicit
content or sharing infringing copyrighted works. This is doubtless not only encoded in their disclaimers but also
in the EULA (End User License Agreement) that users sign up to in order to make use of the site."

From: http://www2.le.ac.uk/library/downloads/copyright/SocialMediaFriendFoe-booklet-Nov-2011.pdf

Actually makes sense, doesn't it? Thus I can more and more understand why Pinterest's EULAs state what they do.
