I don't know much about banking, but I know what I like, and one thing I like is the Swedish model. During crises, more economists should consider the Swedish model. I really like this model!

Thus far my HIGHLY SOPHISTICATED response to questions about government bailouts bas been that the business community campaigns tirelessly for reduced governemnt intervention, so obviously they should cop it sweet. Not a totally satisfactory response, however.
