CensorTube's Curious Policy Reversal

Jun 04, 2023 02:32

Ever since the '20 election, CensorTube has removed all content that claimed Biden's election wasn't on the up and up. After more than two years, this policy has been reversed: YouTube Will Stop Removing False Claims....

Google-owned YouTube will stop removing false claims of widespread election fraud in the 2020 presidential race, the video platform announced Friday.

YouTube said in a blog post it made the decision to balance its twin goals of “protecting our community and providing a home for open discussion and debate.” The decision, which comes ahead of the 2024 midterm races, undoes a policy implemented in December 2020, after President Joe Biden won the election.

Since when has CensorTube been interested in open discussion and debate? One wonders about why this sudden reversal, and why now? How is it possible that banning these channels back in '20 and '21 "protected the community", but now it does not? How is this an offense against open discussion and debate now, but it wasn't then?

“Two years, tens of thousands of video removals, and one election cycle later, we recognized it was time to reevaluate the effects of this policy in today’s changed landscape,” YouTube wrote. “In the current environment, we find that while removing this content does curb some misinformation, it could also have the unintended effect of curtailing political speech without meaningfully reducing the risk of violence or other real-world harm.”

What has changed? Could this be a back handed admission that the "misinformation" about election fraud wasn't so misinformed after all, and that the "conspiracy theorists" have proved right once again? It's kind's hard to deny, what with the Fibbies admitting what we already knew: they concealed details about what they found on Hunter's lappy in order to help LGB win the 2020 presidential (s)election. It's kind'a hard to deny when 51 intelligence stupidity agents admit they mislead Shitter, Assbook, &c about "Russian disinformation" involving Hunter and LGB himself.

"Risk of violence"? Is CensorTube finally admitting that there was no "insurrection" at the Capitol, on 6 Jan? It's pretty hard to make that claim after Tucker Carlson showed us the actual videos of the "insurrectionists" being led on guided tours by the Capitol police; after seeing the speech where the guy wearing the head gear of the Royal Order of Water Buffalos (the "Q-Anon Shaman") praised the Capitol police, calling them allies. Such. Violent. Insurrectionists. Yeah, sure, whatever the fuck you say. :-D There never was any "risk of violence", and we all damn well knew it.

What else may have changed about the political landscape? Pretendident LGB's polls are in the toilet, among the lowest since Eisenhower's administration when it became all too obvious that the PaL didn't like Ike like they used to do. It's obvious the Dems don't want LGB, that LGB wasn't supposed to be running, as he'd done his job of getting Orange Man Bad out of the White House. He broke his agreement when the "red wave" didn't materialize during the '22 midterms.

CensorTube is serving their Deep State masters by now allowing content that makes LGB look really bad before the Primaries get going?

politics, censorship
