"What the hell? What are you doing here?"
Xigbar scowled. "I'm dead, genius."
"I can see that." Xaldin returned the scowl full force. "Weren't you supposed to avenge my death? Some lover you are."
"Hey!" Xigbar kicked him. "I tried, all right? I gave it my best shot, literally, and I - "
"Got smashed into the ground by some kid with a keyblade." Smirk.
"Yeah, but at least I had a better exit line! Seriously, what was that crap you said? 'Is this the end'? You sentimental freak."
"I was confused!" Xaldin retorted. "You would have been too, if you'd just killed the damn kid six friggin times! Dirty cheater. And yours wasn't much better."
"As if! My last words were totally awesome. 'Wouldn't you like to know...'"
"What, were you trying to be enigmatic and mysterious? Because it didn't work."
"Just shut up. You'd think death would have improved your attitude..."
"Yeah, well it didn't." They sat in silence for a while, then Xaldin spoke up again. "Seriously Braig, couldn't you have killed Sora before dying?"
"I wasn't about to commit suicide, and living without you was hell enough already!"
"Well, what you should have done was kill Sora, but somehow sustain a mortal wound and then die from that..."
"As if. That takes way too much time, and it's much too painful."
"Yes, but then Sora would be dead. That's the important part, right? Avenging me?"
"No. Besides, Saix can have the fun task of destroying him - you know he's been wanting to all along."
Xaldin rolled his eyes. "Xigbar... if I couldn't kill Sora, what makes you think that Saix will be able to?"
Xigbar thought about this, then stood up suddenly. "So what, he kills all of us, game over, then lives happily ever after with his freaky white-haired boyfriend? What the HELL? Where's the justice in that?!"
Sigh. "That's why you should've killed him."
Xigbar sat down again, looking mutinous. "It's not like I went easy on him or anything." Almost a lie. He didn't go easy on him, but he didn't resist death. Not when he knew who'd be waiting for him. Then he stood up again suddenly, and paced around the room. "What a bloody asshole! All this, after Axel proved that Nobodies can love?"
Xaldin shrugged. "What's done is done. No one we care about still lives. Sora can have his happy ending."
"It's not fair. We're not the bad guys."
"I know. But..." Xaldin sighed, heavily. "Look, I think we've waited long enough. I don't bloody care anymore. Let's go."
"Fine." Xigbar pulled his hood up, and took Xaldin's hand. "Lead the way, Dilan. I think we're both ready to move on."
