I now present to you, my courses for the next semester

I kid you not.. THIS is the entire course description for the class..

HIS 300 - Mini-Midi Topics in History

Have you climbed Marcy, kayaked in the St. Regis Canoe Area, or hiked in the West Canada Lakes Wilderness Area? Have you heard the eerie midnight cry of the loon, slept beside the Opalescent, or seen the morning mist on the Oswegatchie? Do you love the Adirondacks and have you ever wondered how it came to pass that the Adirondack Forest Preserve, one of the best protected landscapes in the world, was preserved by such a bustling, commercial state as New York? This class will survey the history of the wilderness idea in the Adirondacks. We will start with the environmental values brought to the Adirondacks at the beginnings of European contact and continue through to the present. What did the wilderness mean to the early explorers, the first settlers? How did this region become a Mecca for downstate hunters and anglers? Why and how did New York State establish the Forest Preserve and then enshrine its protection in the state constitution? What are the current conflicts and opportunities as the people of New York engage the ever-changing question of how they want to use or protect wilderness in the Adirondacks?

Dear god. Kill me now. lol. Aside from the short description of this one, if looks to be my most interesting class.

JOU 323 - Mass Media Propaganda 1946 - Present

The role of mass persuasion in political contexts during the second half of the Twentieth Century. Topics range from the Cold War to the Balkan Civil War and beyond.

I've always had an interest in Russia, so this should be at least amusing.

GEG 312 - Geography of Russia

Cultural, demographic, historical, political, economic, and physical attributes of Russia interpreted from a geographic perspective. Special emphasis throughout the course on Russia as a member of and contributor to Western Civilization.

Lastly is...

CMM 412 - Digital Media Practicum

Learn advanced digital media production techniques by crafting communication messages using advanced digital media tools. Create DVDs. CD-ROMs, Flash animations, broadcast graphics, interactive games, or interactive websites to deliver focused communication messages.

I'm not sure what the instructor will make the class into, but I'm intrigued in it, plus I know she's a decent prof. And as a reward for sticking around this long? my fun filled schedule!

My schedule to start with is the same as it ends, except for a few weeks where I have a class that's added on every day except friday.

Enjoy!
