Bug the Bugs of Buggery

So as some... ok... probably none of you know, James and I have started a garden. In an effort to have a nice and shareable yield, we have researched a ton of techniques, spent hours looking at materials and hunted down several strains of heirloom tomatoes and a few other plants (mostly peppers and spices). I really do enjoy gardening, but I think what I enjoy is the end product more than anything. That goes with a lot of things that require effort. The older I've gotten, the less effort I've wanted to put into anything. It's a sad affair. But, I'm at least glad I finally now have a place with enough fertile land around it that I can garden and have gardened.

One of my old houses had a crack in it and every winter, ladybugs would invade. It was the second cutest invasion possible, behind koalas.

Ladybugs rule!

Oh yeah, just go into edible gardening with the expectation that maybe you'll get some food out of it. Find what works and go with it. Don't sweat the small stuff. And NO CHEMICALS.
