Aren't you proud of me? I dropped it like it's hot on someone three pay grades above me in the only newspaper everyone in the military reads :D

Are you worried about anyone getting mad?

Haha...
But I write poetry because I like writing poetry.

If for some reason I ever decided to join the military and write articles refuting claims about gun holsters in Stripes magazine, I'd probably still write poetry in my spare time just for the hell of it.

Nice article, though - you definitely get points for trashing the opinion of a superior. Heh.

Haha the poetry thing was in no way a comment about you. I hope you don't think it was. It was just in keeping with the time-honored addage "Poetry is Gay," by cultural superstars A.C.

And yes, I've got my umbrella out for the incumbent shitstorm!

Also, today I was walking on base next to these two Marines and this staff sergeant was bitching to the sergeant about the guy in the Command Post who does the "Big Giant Voice" (BGV) announcements when there is a mortar attack or intruder or whatever. He was like "you can't understand anything that guy says, I guess he doesn't know you're sposed to hold the mic six inches from your mouth... he sounds like one of those heavy metal singers, you know like the really fat short ones that no one is scared of"

hahaha. I thought of you when he said that, because of your critiques and love of bands with short, fat heavy metal singers who no one is scared of.

Haha - yeah, that's pretty funny.

Interestingly enough, A.C. would be a shining example of such a band. Anyone who is scared of Seth Putnam's fat, immobile ass must not get out much.

Good response!

Anyway, just wanted to let you know, the WoW has been installed, verily, on this computer as I type.

A playlist has been added (to cover the mideval shit) containing the likes of:
Manowar
Judas Priest (1986)
Leeway
Merciful fate
onslaught
etc.

it has begun!

Leeway seems a little out of place in that playlist...

Good call on Mercyful Fate, though.
King Diamond for the win!

I've found that Kamelot is the ideal band to play WoW to. Unless you are just pwning the living hell out of n00bs at which point "Master Killer" by Merauder or "Smash Your Enemies" by Hatebreed is apropriate.

But my WoW playing days are over. If I get home and play I will want to grind up to level 70 [keep in mind I left before the expansion so my character was the best, level 60 with tier 2 epic set] and then become a pro raider again. I can't go back to playing five hours a night, there are too many worthwhile things to do! But have fun. It is a good game :]

You should roll Horde on the Kel'Thuzad server, I will help you level when I get back if you're a noob and not level 70 yet.

Anthony and I are sharing a character. We've mostly killed boars and bears. And, actually do the quests.

total n00bs.
