HELP ME CHOOSE. Very, very similar specs. Same price at JB ($494). i might be able to get staff discount so in the end, i might go with the one with which i get the most discount. in the meantime though:
Asus eeePc 1005P
or
Dell (new) Mini 10Intel Atom N450 1.66 ( Read more... )

get a mac. And believe you me, you will never go back

also, are they the tiny little laptops? they are *not* good. i've seen people bending over to use them and I'm in pain for them. You remember your back problem? You don't want to strain your back again.

i can't afford a mac, they're expensive.

yeah, i'm getting them BECAUSE they're small. i'll only be using it for lectures at uni. i'd rather carry a small one than carry a big one - much better for my back ;)i've used one here at home (damien has one) and it was fine. not that i'd get for heavy use (i still want a laptop, but that's mostly because of specs issues, netbooks have shitty specs due to their small size), but it will be great for uni twice a week.
