Alec had indeed finished, and parted with, his last project, leaving him with not much to do.

So he was sorting yarn.

Rikku took a deep breath and stepped across the hall to Alec's doorway. And for the hundredth time, was grateful that Professor Skywalker had taken most of this off her shoulders. If she had to have this conversation with complete strangers, over and over again ...

She shivered and knocked quickly on the door.

"Come in," Alec called out, rerolling a ball of yarn around one hand after measuring it.

Rikku shifted the cat-filled bag on her shoulder and opened the door. "Alec?" she said hesitantly. "Are, uh, do you have a minute?"

"Yeah, sure, Rikku," he said, flashing a grin at her in greeting. "Hey, those primers were awesome, by the way. Or should I say 'druca bnesanc fana yfacusa -- cu ruf'c so Al Bhed huf?'"
