What the fans say:IHeartJensen Jensen Love Meme -Jensen Ackles does more with a few moments of stillness than some actors can do with a page of dialogue.(Firefox)
-And Jensen was so great about it all. I just kept asking him to rehearse it with me over and over and he was so obliging. He was such a nice man to work with-Georgia Craig
- Ackles is the breakout star of the show -- he’s charismatic, funny, and makes the action look believable-Chud.com
-Who knew Ackles was such a strong actor? Perhaps he's never had the kind of material he's been getting lately, as Supernatural builds momentum toward its big second-season finale.-Mediavillage
-Ackles started off nervously but quickly settled in and handled the military and law jargon (and a few comic lines) like a pro, with minor bobbles.-Star Telegram
- Jensen Ackles rightly earned at every performance he gave. His mastery of comedic timing, body language and awareness of stage presence without being over the top at any point was nearly flawless. Jensen Ackles version of Daniel Kaffee was uniquely his own, a character with three-dimensional depth and texture. Ackles ability to give the audience that uniqueness at every turn on stage is a testament to the talent and dedication of this actor to his craft.-Eclipse Magazine
-Dean may be tough on the outside but you ain’t seen nothing until you’ve seen Ackles shed a tear. -She knows.com
-Kripke also talked about how Jensen added so many little touches, like him leaning into his mum's touch when touches his cheek before she goes to bed. At the graveside scene, where Dean is doing his monologue to his dad's grave, Kripke said that he had everyone in tears, even the grips! He couldn't say enough how talented the 'kid' was.-Kripke
-Kripke says that Jensen just breaks your heart when he closes his eyes at his mother's touch one last time.-Kripke
-With his talent, the possibilites are endless.-KiwiOlsen.net
-Still, Dean's reaction to this kid, perfectly epitomized by both Jensen Ackles' acting as well as Gamble's script made it all worthwhile-Pop Syndacate
-There's some brilliant timing from Mr. Ackles as he attempts to exit, stage left, before the women staring at him can get their claws into him.)
Also, Mr. Ackles' comedic timing is what makes this so perfect. It's a rare actor who can change his expression from calm to freak out like that, barely moving a muscle, but changing his face inch by inch. Starting with his chin and then moving to those mobile eyebrows.- Pink raygun.com
- Well, speaking of Jensen, being that good looking shouldn't be allowed. It's just wrong. I mean, movie stars can look good and be good actors, but on TV, it's usually one or the other.-MacKenzie(Normal in DA)
-There's a tender scene toward the end where Priestly (Jensen Ackles) breaks the mood with a joke. It's one of those "laugh through the tears" moments.
By the time we were ready to film, David felt the joke sounded a little stale. So he, Mark, and I batted it around until we found a line we all liked better.
When they were filming that scene, I was listening on earphones with several people. The mood was all heartfelt and sweet...then Jensen delivered the line. And his delivery was so funny, it made the joke much better than it was on the page. This was a line we had read over and over...and nevertheless we all busted up when we heard it through the earphones.
So writer came up with the line, the director made it better, and the actor improved it even more. And that's what makes a movie. -TIH staff
-All of my scenes were opposite of Jensen Ackles and he was such a pleasure to work with. Not only is he a great actor, but a really nice guy!- Jeannette Sousa (CR Demon).
-Interestingly, it's Mr. Ackles who really sets off the fireworks in this A Few Good Men. He's slick and funny, but human underneath. His stage technique is nigh onto perfect - and this is a guy who's been working steadily on large and small screens for a decade. -The Dallas Morning News
-What is it like working with Jensen Ackles?Deidre: Jensen is the dreamiest! I adore him as a co-star, as a son, and as a friend.-Deidre Hall
-Then he did the death scene, made my eyes tear up, walked calmly out, and we looked at each other. This was exactly the character I'd envisioned. It was clear to me that if anybody else got this role, I would have to commit ritual suicide.-Doris Egan (she worked for DA, she talks about Jensen portraying Ben
here -"...Ackles definitely steps outside the "pretty boy"...
he [Priestly] is more sensitive than snarky, and that is what makes the other characters (not to mention the audience) gravitate toward him immediately.-
http://danielletbd.blogspot.com/2007/12/re...ndie-films.html -"I’ve got to admit, Jensen Ackles had my throat dried up when his character was begging Sam to hang on. He never really stood out during his brief stint on Smallville, but he’s perfect here. "-

You will be just fine, chamingaussie. I chatted with Jensen at Comic-Con last year, and thought he was probably the least affected celebrity I've ever met. It was just a few minutes, but I was stunned by how normal he was.
http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showtopic=3132379&st=10860 chamingaussie should have a lunch with Jensen and her husband when/if he will go in Australia. She didn't say it, but I think she works for the TEN network or for the press or somenthing (just my guess) and she said he should be there in 2 weeks and half or 3 weeks, this if the strike doesn't end and he has to filming on Vancouver.
-From a G. Michael Gray (guest star in the 3.10):
"I worked mostly with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. Both of those guys were great, they even posed for cheesy pictures with my son and my Chihuahua. When I looked at the photos later I was shocked at how big these guys were. You could fit four of my heads inside one of theirs. They must have very large brains inside those gargantuan noggins."
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/586807/in_his_dreams_an_exclusive_interview.html?page=2 -All right, seriously folks. All man-crushes aside (whether they be real, fake, or real but pretending to be fake!), how in the hell doesn't Jensen Ackles have a whole shelf full of emmys yet? Did you see last night's ep? Holy crap! Dream a Little Dream of Me was frakkin' awesome, as was Jensen's performance. The fact that this guy isn't recognized for his work on the show is criminal. (Ditto Kyle Chandler on Friday Night Lights, but that's another can of worms for another blog.)
Even the Sam-girls have to agree with me on this one given last night's ep, no?

Jensen: The Actor - Tribute Post.
Some quotes
There was something special about Jensen Ackles the first time I saw him on the screen. He was just a guest star on the series Dark Angel, playing the unstable Ben, but his performance grabbed your attention. He still has that same power as Dean on Supernatural. Jensen brings out so many tiny facets to Dean, with just a look or a turn of his head. He's not one to just act with dialog, but with his whole body. The way he walks and stands can convey so much of how Dean is feeling. But perhaps Jensen's greatest physical attribute for his acting is his face. He has the ability to express so many emotions, while keeping so many others just under the surface, yet making you aware of them all. A glint in the eye, a quirk of the mouth, Jensen uses them all with ease. His eyes, more than anything else, seem to have a powerful inner light. The camera picks up their green color so beautifully, along with all their expressions and emotions. They can be bright and full of life one moment and dark, dead, and lifeless the next. They can burn through you in a moment of anger or touch your heart with their sincerity. I've never seen another actor with more expressive eyes and who uses them so well. They truly show his inner fire.
And then fanboy asked what was the best gift Jensen ever gave him aside from his friendship. Jared said that Jensen gave him a really cool watch a while back that was awesome because he collects watches but that really it's the small things, like if he's been having a rough month he'll say, "hey, let's go out and I'll get you a steak" and just that he's always there when Jared needs him.- Jared Padalecki
http://annkiri.livejournal.com/170297.html And speaking of dreamy…Jensen Ackles. Good lord. No fella should be that good looking. And that deep voice of his? Swoon. Mel adored him on Smallville, which led to our watching Supernatural where I was introduced to his talent. I like Supernatural. I like him in the show. But I just didn't expect the performances I've been seeing. I guess I was prejudging the good looks. Sue me. We're all bastards in our own way. His role is one of those challenging rolls that can be played vanilla or stunning. It's a risk for an actor to take on a roll like this. I once saw an actor not only lose his job but I personally rewrote his character out of the script because the actor had gone with vanilla. Jensen went with stunning. I watched him shoot a scene on night two that gave me goosebumps. Patrick refers to him as a young Steve McQueen.- Todd Farmer, the screenwriter of My Bloody Valentine 3-
http://www.wendago.com/journal/ Looks, talent and just a wonderfully nice guy. Keep him safe, Fandom, he's one of the good-Todd Farmer, the screenwriter of My Bloody Valentine 3-
