animation is fun, but i promise you there will be days when you will hate it. it's wonderful to actually see your characters moving around/ talking/ what-have-you, but the process is what you think it's gonna be like, times three. you'll animate for three hours and then realize that you only have a few seconds done.
but! despite all that, animation is mostly really really fun. i love it, i absolutely love doing it. good luck!
DDDD: They didn't have an animation option on there anyways. Booooo! I may just take it during sophomore year, then. :/ I'd like to give it a shot before writing it off altogether anyway, even if I don't end up doing something in animation. I dunno. We'll see.
