Basically, my summer hasn’t been all that great. But then again, it really has. I guess it just had the potential to be a lot better. I mean, I’ve had a lot of fun and spent time with my favorite people ever and stuff but I guess nothing so exciting's happened. Maybe cause I didn’t exactly go on vacation anywhere this year. And maybe cause this summer was extremely different from my last two ones. I remember last summer real well, and how I was always with my dad and crew. How I was always hanging around the pool swimming, how I’d go into the city pretty much 1-3 times a week, and how I went down the shore all the time. I also went to Vermont which I really loved cause I had the best time there. I was just always actually doing something. I had set plans pretty much everyday, and there was never a dull moment.
But yesterday was one of my better days. The night before me and Jess planned to wake up early, which I really didn’t know how I was gonna manage considering I’ve been waking up around 1:30 all summer long. I ended up getting off the computer around 2, tried to sleep but ended up laying in bed like an idiot for just about three hours. Passed out, woke up at seven, slept some more, then woke up for good around nine. I was out of the house by four, which is normally the time I’m contemplating on going in the shower. Got to Jess’ and cut through the woods to get to Van Saun. We walked down there with the idea that we were gonna go to the zoo, but we were wrong. Those morons close at four and start to get the people outta there around 4:30. We went on the train at least. The train went around the zoo where we got to see some unnecessary animals, like a damn ostrich. When we were walking back through the woods I found myself making direct eye contact with a deer hahah. I let Jess know by repeating “Jess, Deer.“ over and over ahah. She ran down the hill, I followed her and that’s when I found out there was more than one. I just didn’t see the other ones. We decided to have her mom pick us up and just take us to the mall. We got there pretty early. It was probably around 5ish. We hung around there, saw familiar faces, got candy and got to hang out with Sean and Joe later on. And you can’t forget when Jess randomly got up when we were sitting in the food court and headed up the escalator. I had to grab the bag of candy, sprint to the garbage can and then sprint up the escalator to catch up to her. Of course as this was all taking place, we had the entire food court staring at us. It was the funniest thing and we couldn’t stop laughing about it afterwards. When the actual mall was just about closed, we headed to American Joe’s bar and Grill to eat. This was the real deal, with the bread before your meal and the cloth napkins. We winded up getting some dip that was actually really good. And you have to realize that us two pretty much have the best talks. We talked about how some people change when those items come into their life and end up revolving their life around them. And we just placed ourselves in weird ass situations and how if we changed some things we would’ve done this summer instead. Got picked up by her dad and the whole ride we basically talked about Jess’ hair idea she had in mind of getting the next day. Her dad was all, “is it a HARD look?!“ hahaha. From there, I spent the next two hours just hanging out at Jess' house. Fun day, ridiculous entry.. doubt anyone's gonna read it haha.
