2010 Writing Meme

Overall Thoughts:
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted? About 390k less than I wanted, but only about 140k less than I'd actually expected to hit.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January? I really didn't go too far out of my box at ALL this year, unfortunately. I wrote a little in the Pokemon fandom, but that wasn't too terribly surprising, really.

What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest? It's not finished or posted yet, but Of Earthworms and Idiots is the one that I am proudest to call my own.

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them? No... Not really. ]:

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year? Tons of them, but that's what that last insanely long and detailed post was for. Seriously, just click back to see what I mean.

From my past year of writing, what was...
My best story of this year: Of Earthworms and Idiots

My most popular story of this year: The only one that's posted is Third Time's a Charm, but it's not very popular at all, so I don't think it really fits this place at all, lol.

Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Perhaps "Little, Pig." I do believe it went over the head of a lot of the people who have read it.

Most fun story to write: "Tinged With Melancholy," which was my backup story for a contest when "Erase This" was proving to be too difficult to finish in time. It was great, being able to slip back into my LTA universe for just a minute and come up with a rather amazing snippet of life.

Story with the single sexiest moment: The book itself isn't written, but the scene is. It's for the novel that El Cafe [from RaTs] is going to turn into.

Most "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: Probably also "Little, Pig."

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: I don't think I had any of that this year.

Hardest story to write: "Erase This;" I seem to be stuck on the part that I haven't finished and no matter how hard I try, I just can't move forward more than 10 words at a time.

Biggest Disappointment: My NaNovel, To My Beloved Ex Boyfriend... It was supposed to be hilarious and chick lit to the extreme, but it isn't. At all.

Biggest Surprise: Third Time's a Charm! I honestly have no idea where it came from at ALL. And it's pretty good, so I was happy.

Most Unintentionally Telling Story: Uh... I have no idea, lol.

This year, I plan to actually keep track of the things I'm working on, so I will have more stuff down here. [:
